Welcome to Rutland House Community Trust

Rutland House Community Trust began life in 1989, when two local people, Hazel and Terry Jeffery identified that there were no services locally for people with learning disabilities. The vision was to build a residential home in Oakham for Rutland people, and Residents on an outingso Willowbrook opened it's doors in May 1995 after some years of fundraising.

Rutland House Community Trust is the areas foremost provider of services for adults with learning disabilities. We are a charitable trust, and put our client’s wishes at the heart of all decisions made. With this in mind the Trust operates not only Willowbrook but also a supported living scheme in the town, and provides domiciliary care for other people in their own homes.

At the Trust we provide specialist care for people with varying degrees of need, from people who have profound and complex needs, or who may exhibit challenges, to people who may need only a little support. We can provide this care and support when and where it suits the person who is receiving the service.

In order to deliver quality at a reasonable cost we have invested heavily in our dedicated staff teams. The Trust believes in developing our employees to the best of their potential, and has accredited trainers in house to ensure all receive the specialist training as well as achieving mandatory requirements.
