Willowbrook

Willowbrook is a registered residential service for adults with learning disabilities run by Rutland House Community Trust Ltd. in Oakham, a small market town that is the capital of Rutland. Willowbrook was purpose built first opening its doors in May 1995, and providing ten individual bedrooms. We are within walking distance of the town centre, and are placed on the main bus route. There is a news agents/convenience store within a hundred yards of the driveway and a pub a short walk further.

Our service is a non-institutional family style home where the residents are at the heart of everything we do. Care is delivered according to the individuals’ assessed need, and in line with that persons P.C.P (person centred plan). MinibusAll accommodation is wheelchair accessible, has various hoists available, and has a rise and fall Jacuzzi bath for the comfort and convenience of both staff and residents. The lounge at Willowbrook is large and spacious, with plenty of room to enjoy a meal, carryout activities or simply relax. Our ‘quiet room’ is smaller but well furnished for those residents that perhaps would like some peace and quiet,  receive visitors in private, or simply would like to watch a different television channel.

At Willowbrook there is a landscaped garden with a wheelchair swing and barbeque area for those long glorious summer days! We have two mini-buses fitted with hydraulic lifts for trips out, and about.
